TEACHERS & COUNSELOR OF THE YEAR: Three of the districtโs 21 nominees for Teacher of the Year will be recognized as well as the Counselor of the Year. They will advance to compete for the Orange County Department of Education's Teacher of the Year competition.

Item 8.1 ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE REPORT: Long a priority of the district, leaders will update the board on the 2025-26 A.I. Report. According to the agenda: โThe A.I. Lead and eKadence Coach will report on the โYear of Building Capacity,โ highlighting professional A.I. readiness training for all staff, the creation of a vetted A.I. tool catalog, and the AUHSD A.I. Workgroup (staff, families, and students).โ
Last month, the district hosted the Student and Community A.I. Voice Summit which brought together educators, students, administrators, A.I. professionals and more from across the country. At the summit, AUHSD was one of four local districts recognized as a leader in A.I. implementation. AUHSD has invested heavily in A.I. with its own A.I. bot named Skrappy and last year it released its Student A.I. Framework.
Item 8.2 COMMUNITY SCHOOLS UPDATE: "District staff will present to the Board of Trustees on the Community Schools Approach Update, which provides an overview of how we have scaled the Community Schools approach across all District schools," according to the agenda.
Item 11.9 PERSONAL FINANCE GRADUATION REQUIREMENT: The board will consider a revision to Board Policy 71105(6146.1) High School Graduation Requirements to require a one-semester course on Personal Finance starting with the Class of 2031 to comply with California Assembly Bill 2927 signed into law in 2024.
Item 11.11 MURALS AT ORANGEVIEW WESTERN CAMPUS: The board will consider an agreement to launch the Orangeview Western 7-12 School Mural Project, which would allow for the painting of six murals at the school at a cost of up to $30,100. Under the proposal, artist Alejandro Sanchez will work with students and faculty on the โproject that seeks to transform various high-traffic areas of the school into vibrant educational landmarks that reflect the Anaheim community's diversity and core values,โ according to the agenda.
