Capistrano Unified School District is excited to announce we will be working with OpenAI to support the nationwide rollout of ChatGPT for Teachers in K-12. CUSD is one of the first school districts in the country that will give teachers and faculty access to this new version of ChatGPT customized for teachers, and share insights on the implementation and usage to optimize for educators.
“At Capistrano Unified, we believe innovation is essential. That’s why we’re proud to join the first cohort to adopt ChatGPT for Teachers for our employees,” said CUSD Chief Technology Officer Stephanie Avera. “This platform gives our team the opportunity to leverage advanced AI to support our mission of student-success and operational excellence, while maintaining a strong commitment to data privacy and security. We appreciate that ChatGPT for Teachers is built for education settings, with the controls and safeguards we expect for our staff, and we look forward to thoughtfully integrating it into our work with the highest standards of trust and responsibility.”
“Our commitment to modern education goes beyond supporting students. In CUSD, we want to empower our teachers and staff with the most influential technology that helps them build curriculum, incorporate new modalities and collaborate with colleagues in a safe, secure way,” said CUSD Superintendent Dr. Chris Brown. “We are thankful to OpenAI for selecting CUSD to provide real-time insights into how the platform can benefit student achievement.”
