The Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) will host its First Annual Esports Regional Tournament & Invitational on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Katella High School, bringing together students, educators, industry partners, and community members for a full day of competitive gaming and career-focused learning.

The regional event will spotlight the growing role of esports in education while serving as a public showcase of AUHSD’s new Game Design and Esports Career Pathway, which prepares students for high-growth careers in technology, design, media production, and interactive entertainment through both technical and professional skill development.

“This tournament represents much more than competition,” said Scott Reindl, Coordinator of 21st Century Career Readiness for AUHSD. “It’s a powerful example of how student interests can connect directly to real-world career pathways, industry partnerships, and future-ready skills.”
